The existing 911 dispatch and public safety offices occupy approximately 14,000 square feet below ground in a facility built in the mid 1970’s. This project includes the addition of administrative space above ground to provide for the expansion of the 911 center in the existing facility. Engineering began in 2005; construction commenced in 2006. As of January 2007, Phase I of the project is nearing completion. The above ground administrative space is currently being occupied and the renovation of the underground 911 center is underway. Estimated completion date: June 2007
The project also includes the construction of a county garage facility for the purpose of repairing and servicing county vehicles. As of January 2007 the garage is completed and occupied.
